Beyond the Mediterranean postcard
Calling something made in Ibiza should mean more than printing the island’s name on a label. Origin matters when it shapes design decisions: what is made, how it is presented and how it relates to its surroundings.
The Mediterranean landscape offers a particularly rich sensory vocabulary. Pine, fig, dry wood and salt can evoke different experiences for different people. Translating those associations into fragrance requires selection and balance, not a literal reproduction of the landscape.
Craftsmanship is a way of making, not a look
A handcrafted candle is not defined by a rustic appearance. Craftsmanship is found in the process, the scale of production and the human hand. It can coexist with thoroughly contemporary design.
It is also important to distinguish verifiable facts from vague promises. If a brand refers to hand production, numbered batches or specific materials, those claims should be documented for each product. Editorial language cannot replace precise information.
Two readings of the landscape: fig and pine
FIGUE 27 draws on the Mediterranean fig tree: green sap, dry wood and a faint trace of salt. PINO 38 explores the pine grove through pine, cedar and resin. They are two ways of approaching the landscape without turning it into a souvenir.
Both editions are presented as limited productions made in Ibiza. Their product pages describe each composition and provide the edition details before you choose.
Choosing a candle for its story and its purpose
Scent matters, but it is not the only consideration. Think about the vessel, size, desired intensity and where the candle will be used. A woody composition can inhabit a room very differently from a floral or fruity one.
The best guide is consistency between what a candle promises and what it actually delivers. For a brand connected to a place, that consistency begins with respecting its origin and avoiding clichés.
Ibiza as a starting point
A creation born in Ibiza need not be limited to a local audience. Its identity can travel precisely because it comes from a recognisable point of view. Origin gives it character; design and quality allow the object to find a place anywhere.
